> Responsibilities
Deal Leads are the face of the GCR community, and must be good stewards of the GCR brand and its values. They will:
- Manage the investment process from beginning to end
- Lead management calls (45 minutes - 1 hour) with a prepared agenda. Agenda (example) should include questions from the Deal Lead and the GCR community
- After the call, share notes with the GCR community along with Deal Lead’s assessment (e.g. strengths / weaknesses / recommendation)
- Liaise between the GCR community and the founders to address any follow-up questions from the GCR community and share any relevant updates from the founders
- Publish internal investment memo & external deal announcement
- Manage communications within the deal thread(s) in Discord that deal lead is responsible for; foster an environment for open intellectual discussion among members
- Own the relationship with the founders by being the point of contact for the project
- Work with GCR Angel Network to support portfolio companies post-investment
- Manage the team responsible for active management of investment proceeds in GCR Treasury
- Deal Leads must follow all the guidelines above until investment distributions are made
