What are GCR Deals?

• GCR deals are a unique offering for GCR members. When holding $GCR tokens, members gain access to various private investment opportunities sourced by the GCR Core Team and the Community. To get access, hold the mandated number of tokens and join the Discord.
• At any given time, we may have 10+ live investment opportunities going on. Please regularly check the live deal feed or ‘💼deal-chat-and-threads’ or ‘💼deal-chat-and-threads-v2’ (for deals post 9/23/2022) on Discord for any deal updates.

How do GCR Deals work?

• The GCR investments process is very decentralized! Any GOLD or GOLD PRO member can source deals for the GCR Community in our ‘💼deal-sourcing-and-suggestions thread-v2 on Discord.
  • Please refer to the Deal Scouts Onboarding Guide on how you can source deals on behalf of GCR and get compensated!
• After the deal moves forward to the active deal thread (’💼deal-chat-and-threads-v2’ on Discord), Deal Leads will be responsible for managing the deal process until its closed.
  • Please refer to the Deal Leads Onboarding Guide on how you can become a Deal Lead and lead deals on behalf of GCR and get compensated!
• The minimum individual check is $3,000 and GCR only invests in the project if we have >$100k of active interest from the Community with 5+ investors. We will exercise discretion here.
  • Once we move forward with the investment, we ask each member to complete the following before wiring USDC for their allocated investment amount:
    1. Tax forms (W-9 if you are a US tax resident; W-8 / W-8BEN if you are a foreigner)
    2. Self-accreditation form

What kind of investments does GCR participate in?

GCR is a Community of Investors & Researchers in Web3. Although we’ve invested in traditional Web2 companies such as SpaceX, Gilgamesh, Rain AI, et al., GCR’s main focus is new and emerging projects in Crypto and Web3.

• We look at:
  • Seed round opportunities in the forms of SAFT/SAFE+token warrant/SAFE
  • Mid-stage growth companies
  • Pre-IPO and growth equity investments
• A few highlights of the deals that we have done in the past:
  • Web3 (e.g. Animoca Brands, Aurora - NEAR, Maple Finance, etc.)
  • Biotech (Gilgamesh, Dutchie, etc.)
  • Space travel (SpaceX)
  • AI (Rain AI)
